Blueberry Muffin Smoothie



If you are like me, just the word blueberry muffin puts a smile on your face. I remember my mom baking them and the aroma permeating the whole house. She would serve them with sweet butter and I can literally taste them in my imagination now. But now that I am older, I prefer to take my favorite treats and turn them into something smarter! After all, there's more time to indulge in other fun things to enjoy when you can do healthy swaps!

Plus this one is good for staying swimsuit ready!

What You'll Need

1 cup frozen blueberries

1 scoop Vanilla flavored Egg White Protein powder (or whatever powder you prefer)

1/2 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt

1/2 cup milk (I used almond milk)

1/4 cup old-fashioned oats (use gluten-free oats if making this smoothie GF)

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, store-bought or homemade.

pinch of salt.

1-2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey, to sweeten.

Place ingredients oats into the blender and pulse gently until the oats are ground a little finer.

Then place the rest of the ingredients.

Mix again.

Serve!
